This is like a smaller version of Australia's
Airs rock. A huge dome of exposed granite sticking out of the ground.
What better excuse for a state park could you need?
This includes a train ride round the base, a
cable car ride to the top, a typical Southern steam paddle boat and a whole
host of other thinks to do; including one of the best children's activities
we've seen to date, called 'The Barn'.
Also, they have carved the largest frieze in
North America into one side of the rock depicting the losing Confederate
Generals from the US Civil War (1860's)
